Senior Citizens New Year Lunch 2009

“What a wonderful meal” was the comment that the senior citizens made when they attended the annual New Year lunch hosted by New Life Church in the Ryefield Centre on Sunday 25th January 2009. A delicious chicken dinner followed by apple pie and custard was well received. After the tea/coffee and chocolates they joined in a short service celebrating God’s love for His creation by singing the Lord’s My Shepherd and a special version of Yes Jesus Loves Me adapted especially for senior citizens!

New Life Church would like to give a special thanks to the WRVS for the use of their facilities, without which we could not continue to provide this valuable service to the senior citizens of Ross and district.
