Raising Awareness/fundraising for Uganda -
Morrisons Supermarket, bag packing.
We held another wonderful tea in March 2015 to update all our dear friends amongst the Senior Citizens of the work in Uganda. We thank them all so much for their support over the years and hope to update them again before Christmas 2015.
August 17 2014 saw the last of our senior citizens teas until the spring. We have been organising this treat for the local community for almost 15 years and in that time got to meet many of the veterans of the town.
This social gathering is often one of the only opportunities these people get to come together and have a good chinwag catching up on each other’s lives.
We always take the opportunity to share the gospel as we sing well known traditional hymns, perform sketches, slideshow presentations and enjoy bountiful spreads of food.
Sadly with our own aging congregation and with John and Sue out in Uganda for six months, our number of able bodied drivers to transport our guests is seriously reduced, but we trust that God will provide a solution to this practical problem in the new year.
